Really, Wrecker didn't say Leif shouldn't be suspicious of her because she gave him FoI... The way I read it, and admittedly, I'm skimming, Wrecker said Leif shouldn't bother about what Wrecker said was wrong about his posts because she thinks he innocent, so why does the rest matter? He disagreed with her characterization of what he was doing....gotta go.

I dunno, I do think it was kind of weird for Leif to be like "Why are you so invested in saying it was a bad case?" as if he thought she was trying to push suspicion on him... while she was simultaneously saying that to her it meant he was innocent.
(This is why I try to avoid loaded language like "a bad case", and say things like "Leif seems pretty fixated on word choice arguments" instead.)

"The 's' word?"
Also, hi. It is very hard to ROMS with a three-day migraine.

Tae, I feel for you. Migraines are the absolute worst. And ROMS does seem to bring them on for several of us. Ugh. I've been half-reading half-skimming the thread. Totally forgot there was a DT, really. Thanks Furare I skipped that Riku wall. When he's saying in his tl;dr that it's not even worth proofreading, I don't see the point, and why did he post it then? Wrecker generally lives in a World On Your Shoulders environment, I feel, so I get why she gets that way in ROMS. It's tough to be in a game with someone who has that attitude though, when you're innocent, but someone is basically saying "you aren't doing enough!" I think Marinated is the final rogue, myself. I think one of the most interesting points of this game was that the rogues decided not to go after Wrecker, when there was a case to be made. Her 180 on Riku, some of the aggressiveness. Leif's suspicion of her makes me think he is innocent. Which previous game was Bunny a rogue? I should go back and read that. In my head, she's so innocent all the time. It's hard not to feel that way about a few folks. I'm sad the roleplaying got dropped, but it's hard to maintain for sure. I knew Sets was Sherlock (and that's who I'd have wanted to play too) but I hadn't realized DD was Stark - good one Furare, can we see the prompts?

Oh, yes. My prompt was "fighter," so I picked Talia out of Jim C. Hines' Princess series. She's the Sleeping Beauty character, who basically grew up pissed off at how much the fairies had stolen from her, as far as being her own person. So she subverted all of their "courtly grace" gifts and pointed out that if you are an excellent dancer, you can apply the same skills to becoming an excellent fighter.
A bit more of my backstory will come out in the rogue doc at the end of the game.

I had a twinge of a rogue Taelac on day 1/2, but I couldn't figure out what it was. And everyone seemed to be pulling straws and something something Riku - just want confident enough to even comment on it. I agree with marinated as the other rogue.

Oh, that. Yeah, we probably got twelve inches of it. Only about six in accumulation, though. Poor North Dakota got 45 inches in some places. Which is about chest-deep on Taelacs.

We've not seen any here yet, but I'm sure we will by the end of the month. Which means I have to buy snow tires soon

Send it to VA. For my taste, I prefer an amount that definitively allows me to close my office. At least 12 inches or none at all, please.

Unfortunately, we need it here. Even with all the rain we got as part of the system that flooded Colorado, we're still in severe drought conditions in most of the state. But feel free to send us the rain from your next hurricane.

I'll trade all my British rain for six inches of snow. That's a good deal.
I moved from the south coast to the west coast, so snow is still as rare as it always has been for me, and rain is still as consistent.

I have no idea if we need precipitation. All I know is it thunderstormed hardcore the other day when I was at work, and it was pouring rain when we got out. One guess where my umbrella was >.<

Really, Wrecker didn't say Leif shouldn't be suspicious of her because she gave him FoI. She said (paraphrasing 'cos I'm too lazy to look for exact quotes) that it made no sense to say she was trying to subtly nudge suspicion on him while also loudly saying she thought he was innocent. Yeah, except I didn't say that. I didn't go back to it, because geez, that was a ridiculous explosion, but I didn't say that even a little. Wrecker just sort of strawmanned the whole thing and exploded. I guess to clarify, what caught my eye was that in one night Wrecker posted (basically), "The only argument against me was bad, bad, bad, and the only person that thought it was interesting is really suspicious." That's a suspicious confluence.

Welcome Leif. I don't know why they are surprised you're the ban. No one was going to actually lynch you today. I think it worked. I expected you or Joly, actually.
Poor Bunny, I hope things clear up.

Yeah, I was surprised though. Given my general lack of participation yesterDay. There are some low suspicions out there that might not be good toDay, but could turn out useful tomorrow.

I do feel a bit badly for Marinated, especially if she's the last rogue. The thread was not easy on her overnight, even before the ban. It makes it really hard to play when it seems like the Day's action is predetermined. Glad to see her fighting.

I'm about 75/25 on Marinated/Riku. The Riku argument wouldn't even be made except for my firm belief in Tae's sneakiness and bold play.

Yeah. I think some people are more likely than others to say, "Look, we're both going to be top suspicions tomorrow, let's just vote each other and ride it out. Good luck!"

Sounds like what I'd do, but I've never really thought of that as "sneaky". More "common sense". Heh.

Here are the characters I would've (probably) picked for each of the prompts. Scientist/Wizard: Sparrowhawk/Ged (Ursula K Le Guin's Earthsea books) Outlaw: Not entirely sure. Probably Han Solo. Rich/Powerful/Genius: Ozymandias (Watchmen) Supernatural Creature/Robot: HK-47 (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) Artist/Musician/Writer: Sheherazade (The Arabian Nights) Spy/Assassin: Saliel ( The Laurentine Spy by Emily Gee) Superhero/Villain: Mystique (X-Men) Warrior/Military: Lady Katsa ( Graceling by Kristen Cashore) Detective: Miss Marple. Or possibly Cordelia Gray ( An Unsuitable Job For A Woman/ The Skull Beneath The Skin by P.D. James.) Teacher/Mentor: Mary Poppins Explorer/Adventurer: Indiana Jones Fairy Tale/Traditional Character: Little Red Riding Hood (or the Wolf masquerading as Red, if rogue). Just in case anyone was wondering.

Leif's prompt picks: Scientist/Wizard - Dr. Jekyll. Educated, even urbane by day, savage lunacy at night. Outlaw - Probably Robin Hood. Aladdin? If I didn't go literary, it's Mal Reynolds. Rich/Powerful/Genius - Vetinari? Tony Stark was a good one. Supernatural Creature/Robot - Marvin. Considered Dracula, C3P0. Overruled on Gandalf (and dwarves/hobbits). Artist/Musician/Writer - Blanking on this one. Spy/Assassin - James Bond. Harder RP? Mr. Teatime. Superhero/Villain - Batman. But the campy 70s Batman. Lucky for me I had a noose cutting batarang. Warrior/Military - Logen/The Bloody Nine from First Law? Whirrun of Bligh? Nimco Cosca? I feel like I've gotta go with someone from Joe Abercrombie here. Just not sure who. Detective - Sam Vimes. Archie Goodwin. Teacher/Mentor - Susan? Granny Weatherwax? Explorer/Adventure - Don Quixote. Fairy Tale/Traditional Character - Santa Claus. Naughty and nice lists. "Elves, make me a noose! Ho ho ho!"

Mal Reynolds would have been a pretty sweet roleplay.

My phone browser is even worse at remembering it. Safari seems to remember it as long as I don't close it, but phone!Safari seems to forget it every time I just click away from it.

I can copy the rationale from the rogue doc, but that probably wouldn't be very sporting.
