OK this seems like a fun idea, and a good procrastination tool! I read so little fiction that I feel my choices may be uncreative, but here goes:
Scientist/Wizard: Hermione or Peter Venkman. Outlaw: Westley/Dread Pirate Roberts. Rich/Powerful/Genius: President Bartlet from the West Wing Supernatural Creature/Robot: Beetlejuice, or the witches from Macbeth. Artist/Musician/Writer: Dr Watson Spy/Assassin: I should say Condorman but no one knows who that is. Austin Powers? Superhero/Villain: Batman or Two-Face Warrior/Military: Samurai Jack Detective: If I could have resisted Holmes, then Poirot, or good old Lenny Briscoe. Teacher/Mentor: Professor X or Jane Eyre. Explorer/Adventurer: Captain Picard (yes, a pattern there) Fairy Tale/Traditional Character: The Wicked Queen from Snow White
Santa is an awesome idea, as is Mal.

Venkman, Westley, and Beetlejuice are all excellent ideas. Even Bartlett. I didn't even think of Beetlejuice. That'd've been fun.

I had a very hard time coming up with a character. I'm just not good at it. I generally role play personalities, rather than characters, if that makes sense. Anyway, I got my prompt from Furare and suddenly couldn't remember any characters I had read, or even books of that gene. I was late coming in because 1) I was traveling and didn't realize free game had started, and 2) I had no idea who to roleplay.
Basically, picking a character was very stressful to me.
(Dear phone: I know who to foreplay. Stop subbing that in!)

So, cool story warning alert: my Chrome forgot the password to this thread as well and therefore opening the main forum did not show me there were new posts so I've never read this thread until now.
I had the detective prompt and wasn't intentionally going to be Sherlock, but I guess my (one?) post(s?) implied I was?
I assume the game is very interesting but school's been busy so it's quite excellent that I was banned first.

A Archie Goodwin highlight video, set, rather confusingly to "This is Why I'm Hot", apparently. Wholeheartedly recommend the Nero Wolfe books by Rex Stout. The A&E series starring Timothy Hutton and Maury Chakin is a pretty good adaptation that has a very interesting visual aesthetic. Colin Fox is also an excellent Fritz Brenner. And Kari Matchett is quite a looker.

If I can get my hands on the little so-and-sos who nicked BT's cabling to fix the wifi after the last lot got blasted by lightning... what'd I miss? No Miley videos I'm assuming

Nope. Only thing I recorded this week was me reading the first chapter of Divergent for a friend cause the only way she'll read it is if I read it to her.

There is kind of a weird lack of momentum for having caught a rogue...

Yeah, but generally once the town decides what to do, that stops conversation that Day. If it's "not vote day 1" or "Lynch A" or whatever, it's pretty much done for the day. It sorta makes me want to go back to "Lynch as soon as 50%+1" so we could just wrap this day up one way or the other.

From the sound of this thread and not the other, Wrecker is trying way too hard to be rogue.

As a rogue in X-2: Mai Tai, Wrecker was the main driving force of momentum in the thread. I think she had about a third of the total posts. Insane. (My point being, Wrecker just tries hard because that's what she's like, all the time.)

Yeah, as I said to Leif, a diabolical Wrecker could be a rogue here, leading the town with a bit of a strongarm and then setting up a 2-for-1 lynch deal on Riku and Marinated. I think I could see a case for the bans with a rogue Wrecker, as well, but that thinks of it more as a single rogue's logic and perhaps does not consider Tae's input.
Really, I'm back to any of them could be rogues, but I'm still not sure why so many people are pointing at Riku and feel like I missed something somewhere.

If Wrecker turns out to be a rogue my whole life will be a lie and I will be just so utterly lost and confused and probably never play ROMS again ;-)

"Taelac says she was here, but didn't see Leif's post, else she would have helped the vote. But I don't see HOW she didn't see it, since there was about 10 minutes between."
I may be naive, but this drives me crazy. It often takes me more than ten minutes to make a post, for a number of reasons. Why is this so unbelievable? I think a better argument would be the time after one's post, not refreshing and seeing what might be missed/added. But, Leif's was a short post, even then...

Tae can of course tell us what actually happened there.
The level of venom in the fighting here is making me wonder if they are both innocent. Marinated appears to be making it personal with the "your tactics won't work I'm not Quitex". And Wrecker did make the excellent point that she was innocent that game. And I know she does feel guilty about that whole thing.
On the other hand, if a rogue, Marinated can do little besides go after Wrecker, I think, since the Riku thing is out of her hands at this point. Presenting a 3rd candidate leads to more doubt and an easier-to-control lynch, for her, if she gets someone onto the Wrecker bandwagon. Joly has been leaning towards doubt on Wrecker so she may have seen an opportunity there.
If Riku is the rogue, (and I must admit I am also missing something there, but these guys are all doing some deep analysis now which I am not gonna do), he must be relieved at the fighting.
The person whose innocence I'm surest of right now is Bunny.

Yeah, that's pretty much where I am.
So, Marinated switched her vote as a 'just in case' extra for both Taelac and Firebolt. This seems like an odd thing for someone to do more than once in a game.

It made sense for FB didn't it? Inasmuch as FB could unvote herself and the lynch wouldn't go through.
