ROMS 18.0: Writing On The WallFormat: Vanilla + Roleplay. You will play as a fictional character that you should have already chosen. Posts should be made in character unless you specifically state otherwise - anything that is out-of-character should be designated "OOC". Day/Night Cycle: 72 hour Day, 18 hour Night. (Deadlines 5:30am/pm and 11:30am/pm PDT.) Voting Rules: - Bold your votes (Vote: Furare).
- I would prefer it if you unvote before revoting, but in the interests of not disrupting lynches with technicalities, that's not a hard requirement.
- If you leave all your voting to the last minute, deadlines will be delayed, and I will not apologise for this.
- Lynches will be decided by simple majority. If over 50% of the living players have voted for one person, that person will be lynched. Otherwise no one will. (50%+1)
Player List: RikuBunnylaroo DementedDuckLeiffirebolt153JolymaMarinated TaelacSetsusaCrazymgLuvessywrecker15 Your first lynch deadline is Sunday 22nd September at 5:30am PDT / 1:30pm BST. There are 12 players so you require 7 votes to get a lynch.

Welp, I'm here so I think we should all be fine. Where are the drinks? I'm starving.

A flash of silver spun quickly over the backs of her fingers and in the same instant was gone. "Sounds like my kind of party," she said.

The forest floor is wreathed in fog, With a hey nonny-nonny and a no, And a figure sits on a fallen log, with a hat brim pulled down lowI am here, but I mustn't tarry, for if I am found my life will not be worth an hour's purchase. But lest you miss me in my absence, here is a winsome portrait of two fine hares to cheer you: MOST DIVERTING!

Interesting mural there. The artist is to be complimented.
All this talk of killing makes me nervous. That should be a police job but something tells me the cops won't be around to help this time, so we'll just have to make do with what we've got. And it looks like we may have a resourceful bunch here.

Gliding into the room, she looks around, checks her bodice, and zeroes in on her target. Maybe he'll notice her NOW, in this gown, her hair down, instead of the pigtails of her childhood. But, that's a personal goal, one that will take time, and a slow march. Too fast, and he'll be gone. She focuses on the task at hand. Hunting bad guys. How fitting, given her recent promotion.
Hello my friends. I'm joining you, whether you want it or not. I'd prefer to walk WITH you on our journey, but, regardless, I SHALL follow. It's up to you how. As part of the group, or as a shadow behind, but my uncle has charged me with a task, and I will follow orders. Don't worry, while I know you gentlemen think it's your job to keep women safe, I assure you, I know how to take care of myself, and I will cause you no trouble at this task, before resuming my part in the quest I am on.
Fingers twitching slightly, she fades into the crowd, to see what she can learn.

Good day, my lords and ladies!
I bring greetings from my master, the Marquis of Carabas, and he wishes me to make all of you feel at home. Please do not hesitate to ask should you require aught of us.

* puts his fedora on the rack and looks around at those engaging in small talk and admiring each other's costumes * ...or as a shadow behind... Hmm... Is that a teaser? But it's the two in the shadows that haven't spoken yet that I'm most curious about. Rogues? [sigh] We're probably all just going to die anyway. Disassociation? But time for whom? The good guys or the rogues? Let's find out shall we? Vote: Crazy

She slowly twirled a glass in her hand as she surveyed the crowd, the deep ruby of the wine reminding her of blood. Conversation was awkward, everyone smiling and making light small talk while their eyes glittered with suspicion. Not that she blamed them--she was still trying to make sense of the hostess' words, herself. The woman in green had seemed to be talking to herself as she left the room. Perhaps one of those standing nearer had caught what she'd said.
The flash of silver spun once more over the back of her fingers and was gone, and she glided toward a small knot of guests near the door the hostess had used. She wished her friends had come along.

I'd like disassociating from all of you. I didn't want to be here in the first place. Not like anyone care's what I think anyways. I think you ought to know I'm feeling very depressed.

Creeping silently into the crowd, With a ho and a hey derry derry, A figure enters with a step not loud, And helps himself to some sherry.Something tells me I would keep a lower profile if Alan would stop singing ballads every time I walk in the room. But such is my lot in life I suppose. Marinated wrote:Some of us are forced into the shadows by rank injustice and tyranny. But I too am eager to meet the final guests. Perhaps it takes time to don their costumes? I know it was a struggle to pull on these tights... Leif wrote:Take heart! I know just the men to make you merry!

A teaser? I assure you, I am very serious. There is only one fellow that I'd ever nose-tweak, and it is definitely not you. Have you never heard of introductions? I am merely expressing my orders, as given by my uncle. I join a group, or I follow it, watching either way.
I quite agree with the lady and her dancing friars. It does take time to dress appropriately. And one's hair must be JUST right!
She assumes a vapid, empty-headed expression, and giggles, while patting her hair, knowing full well how it disturbs the menfolk with whom she usually travels.
Seriously though, I believe that what we've seen so far has been introductions, although cautious ones. If there is indeed rogues in our midst, caution is understandable. A lady in my party has taken to her bed, she is very sad and worried about her son, and I will be attending to her as best as I can for the next 2 days. I have not seen anything quite yet that would make me decry a rogue, and so, I shall not be doing so before I go.
**OOC: This is difficult! Fun though. I'll be gone until Sunday noonish (9 AM pirate time) As my character said, I think we've all been more into character introduction than game as of yet, and so I am not voting before I leave, bar any confession should I be able to pop in one last time before departing.**

After a fruitless quest to find out more about the hostess and her no doubt fascinating conversation with herself, she went about the room exchanging pleasantries and attempting to take the measure of her companions. One eyebrow twitched slightly at the overheard mention of "the lady and her dancing friars," coming from a slip of a girl who seemed to be cultivating a silly impression. She had taken the gentleman in the tights as the erstwhile Lord of Locksley, but perhaps she had been taken in by the Lady Marian in men's clothing. She'd have to pay closer attention, to avoid missing any further such details.
The melancholy golem posed a bit of a puzzle. She wasn't sure how she'd be able to determine anything about its motives when it issued such bleak commentary. Perhaps it required maintenance. Snow would have wanted to take it apart, to see what made it work. Silver flashed and disappeared. If only she were here.
The man with--or rather, without--the fedora seemed eager to point fingers, but he seemed to be the sort to shake trees to see what fell from them.
The talking cat was perhaps the most astonishing thing. Was it a person who had been ensorcelled into the form of a cat? She had seen such things before. Or was it a cat who had been ensorcelled to speak with a human voice? And why? She had known too many sorcerers...

I admit to not looking closely at the dancing. It was so frantic as to make my eyes go crossed. And my very first impression of the man in tights was more of a white rabbit in a rush, which then colored my next thoughts. It happens, especially with crossed eyes.

I apologize that many of you that are gathered here arrived before me, although I must insist, I am not late. I arrive precisely when I mean to. It is the rest of you who are early, and I see you wasted no time in introducing yourselves. Well done.
Now, however, we have to decide what to do with the time that is given to us. Now that introductions have been made, I think that time would be most wisely spent doing we came here to do. Two among us are not who they appear to be. The Days are long this time of year, but we should not tarry. I myself would not be averse to a lynch this very evening -- yet, in the same breath, I must also add that I find a lynch highly improbable. We must note the rules for voting: more than half of us have to agree. Agreement is a scarce resource in these times, moreso when we are all just getting our footing. Furthermore, it is undeniably more difficult to see the ill intentions in someone's eyes when all of us are wearing masks.

OOC
Hi, there are a few things you should know. The first is I'm posting to admit that I know the game started because someone told me so. (It was my husband.). So I'm reconfirming that I intend to play . But, I'm traveling at the moment. That is often true, so it's more just a statement of I'm busy and tired and overwhelmed with work. And, I'm almost certainly a little drunk and sleep deprived at the moment, so I'm not really in the right frame of mind to be creative and post from a character and such but I still wanted to check in anyway and I hope that's okay because I need to re-read the rules, which I haven't done on account of finding everything incredibly humorous at the moment.
So I'm just saying I'm here and I hope this is amusing to someone else because it's funny to me. (Not being here, I mean the drunkenness which is from a passionfruit mojito and Spokane wine and probably the sleepiness.). And I will make a better post, but possibly not before Sunday so I'm sorry for that but I'm in meetings. I need to prep a presentation for tomorrow now, and probably other work but I'm not sure I should sms stuff to clients at the moment,. I will be back. Viva Miami!

Not Spokane wine. I don't know where the wine was from, but it probably wasn't from Washington. All in all, not too bad for autocorrect though. Sometimes I'm tempted to leave the autocorrections because they're so out there, but I think it would leave my actual posts incomprehensible.
Also, I meant send stuff to clients, but text messaging might be a bad idea too. Cheers!

There sure are some crazy characters here, though I've seen some real crazy kids after my shows. *grumbles about kids climbing into her dressing room after the concert*
I was about to say that that lady who appears to be in costume as a dude had a strange reason for voting, but could have been just trying to get us all moving towards finding rogues. And I see that lady who's been watching us all quiet-like had the same thoughts as I do.
I'd have to agree with Mr. Riku there that it'll be harder to find these bad ol' people sneakin' around trying to knock us off when they're in costume. Though as someone with a secret alter ego herself, I'm pretty sure they'll slip up somewhere. We'll just have to watch more closely than usual.
Sweet niblets it's late! I am off to hit the hay, I am more exhausted than a car with a broken muffler.

My Lords, my ladies,
I trust all of you are doing well. I believe our last guest has arrived, and my master bids me to welcome all of you once again. With our last member only arriving at such a late hour, we would hope that none of our guests see the need to leave at such an inauspicious time. At the same time, mayhap we could share a few more stories of our travels and adventures thus far, in order to prepare more for the challenges ahead?
Lady Luvessy, I do hope you will feel better soon!
[I'm unwilling to vote at this point in time.]

Of course an alter ego is trouble, that's why Lilly had to be let in on the secret. And Oliver. It ain't easy being a pop star in secret. But it's not the kind of trouble that's creepin' around here.

Squinting at the light of the dawn, With a tic-tac-toe and a toffee, Our man surpresses a giant yawn, For he hasn't yet had his coffee.
Lady Jolyma wrote:
Though circumstances may have forced me to sport a frock and petticoat from time to time - as a disguise, mind - I assure you, I am a sir and not a lady. There are few things manlier than a well fitting pair of hose.
Mari, wearer of hat, wrote:
Pray, do not encourage him. The ballads will only get longer. And louder.
Now, to the business at hand. When I suspect a pretender, I will have no qualms with sending him or her to the gallows. Yet I am no stranger to the pain of being hunted without just cause. Perhaps it is because I am dazzled by the costumes at our little masquerade, but I am not yet ready to cast a vote. The votes so far appear to be contrived either to gauge reactions (a practice to which I do not subscribe) or as mere monkeyshines.
