Thinking about it a bit the Riku ignoring the vote is a little niggly. I'm not willing to vote Crazy, I don't think. I agree with Luv's assessment

I agree wid Wrecker, we should exile , but dere is no one I'm certain we should and only a few maybes.
Riku is starting to remind me of someding dat happened before which worries me. I am willing to vote dere.
Marinated has done some very peculiar tings so becomes a maybe.
wrecker15 has also done peculiar tings but I see less harm compared to oders so I will not be voting dere.
DD has not been around to get much of an opinion on and so I will be watching more closely.
Someding seems strange about Jolya but I am unsure what. I want to watch more closely.
Hmm... Vote: Riku

Taelac Silverhand, I am awestruck by the fact that you were able to produce such a prodigiously long statement with so much pounding in your head. I take exception to the scandalous falsehood that I murdered poor Alan. He remains...indisposed, but upon my honor, we feed him three times a day. Frivolity, or a subtle attempt to blacken my name?

I wonder if you would elaborate on which of the masqueraders you feel is "really taking his/her costume seriously"? I agree a mask is a convenient way of hiding, and if one were to persist in offering little else than colorful character banter, I would find the action most alarming. From my perspective, all of our guests have, barring ill health or humor, remained in costume for the duration of our time together. Your statement implies you have unstated suspicions, while your lack of "heebie jeebies" would seem to contradict this.
Feel free to formulate your answer in a song, as this is part and parcel to your trade...but be advised that there is a vacant tree next to Alan's.

Riku Greybeard wrote, regarding the Blue-bottomed-Crazymg's speculation on Sets' ban:
I believe the colorful text is the same assessment which could be made of your behavior on Day 1. Whether I would consider Blue-Bottomed-Crazymg's position of "Setsusa was banned for a reason" unique is beside the point (I don't, if you're wondering, as it is the same basic thought Wrecker-in-Boots has put forward). You appear to be categorizing a behavior as suspicious that you yourself are manifesting.
The following quote has been altered to add in the author of each quote, for clarity's sake:
Riku Greybeard wrote:
I do not see how you can accuse the Blue-bottomed-Crazymg of attempting to pass of the "weakness" of Maid Marinated's argument as "an original thought" when Maid Marinated herself characterized her argument as weak in the quote upon which the Blue-bottomed-Crazymg was commenting.
You seem a most sagacious fellow, and I must now ponder whether this sudden dawning of suspicion in your mind is or is not in direct correlation to the fact that several guests have expressed an inclination to forcibly remove you from our party. __________________________________________________________________________________________________

Posting from work, so my RP will only be back in the Night, providing I'm still around. Sorry I consider the game more important than my RP, heh.

Is the gentleman in hose trying to subtly dissuade us from looking too closely at him? It's weak, I know, but the most I've got so far. I tink dis may be too weak. Again, something that has been said before. This time it is more worrying, as it appears to be passed off as an original thought. Dere is weak and den dere is straws. Dat dere is too weak to be just weak. Riku is starting to remind me of someding dat happened before which worries me. I am willing to vote dere. Clarify? [I'm being somewhat reminded of a previous game, which one, I don't remember and I won't have time to go look.] Crazy, what peculiar (my phone tried to change this to pervy liar. Consider me suitably horrified.) behavior did you notice for marinated? Her vote for Bunny and not unvotin (which I had not noticed until it was pointed out). [ / me giggles]

Lady Jolyma wrote, regarding the Blue-bottomed-Crazymg:If I understand correctly, when Wrecker-in-boots posits a possible reason for the ban, however ill-defined, it is fine with you, but when the Blue-bottomed-Crazymg does something similar, it is curious? I have stayed too long, and the Sherriff is about, so I must away. I will return anon. Well, sir, I am glad you asked for clarity. The difference, to me personally, is simple. One was a possibility and one was more definite. You will also recall that I asked for clarifications from Madame Wrecker, instead of just accepting her theory out of hand, so it wasn't just 'fine with me'. It was the 'there HAS to be' that made me sit up and take notice. Now then. Has anyone seen a smallish fellow with a pointy nose skulking around? (OOC) Tae, you're twisting me a little. And there is a nice vague reference from someone else that I'm a little strange this game. That happens a lot too. I was wondering if the costumes would leave those out. To clarify my hypothesis: It was a glance through the posters, to verify my gut reaction. Yes, there were other quiet people. He was one of them and it fits. He posted once, and it all fit on one line even. I really don't see rogues taking the chance on a trail, even a very small one, when they can ban someone who in essence has said very little except a vague reference to a person he is known to almost always be suspicious of, and one whose nose he likes to tweak. Because Wrecker, upon further explanation, included the fact that Sets perhaps was banned because he hadn't been first ever in her reasoning, it made more sense to me, that I, specifically, had been included in her list. I'm pretty vocal about moves that ban a person early, repeatedly. So, I've been a rogue with Sets, and I'm nice about first round bans when I can be. Ok, I can see why I'm on a suspect list if those things are being considered. It may also have something to do with the fact that Wrecker and I have had many discussions about games in which I played and she observed, and in them, I have learned a bit of how her mind works, and so, well, it makes sense to me in regards to her list.

Bunny Hood, my comment was mere frivolity, though I note you do a fine job of threatening Miley Firebolt with Alan-a-Dale's fate in your next breath. I regret that I am little use in this state, but I cannot in good conscience vote while I cannot properly weigh the evidence. As that does not seem to be improving, I am going to sleep."

[OOC: Dealing with a Bridezilla has sapped me of all energy and desire to play games, so costume off for the moment. I need a cookie and a hot bath and an early bed time. Apologies for stream of consciousness, slightly embittered-toward-humanity-in-general post:
Vote count (If I'm not wrong):
Riku: Wrecker, Crazymg Crazymg: Jolyma, Riku Wrecker: Leif Leif: Marinated
(No vote: Bunnylaroo, DementedDuck, Firebolt, Luvessy, Taelac)
Firebolt and Taelac appear to be saying they're not voting today. DD may or may not be back. No idea about Luv. I initially thought wrecker's list was weird and developed a convoluted theory which, on further reflection I don't see why wrecker would do what I thought she was doing as a rogue, so no vote there. I'm not currently suspicious of Leif, perhaps because my brain can't stop reading his posts in Alan Rickman's voice and I NEVER WANT TO STOP HEARING IT. Yet another reason why roleplay games probably aren't going to turn out to be my strong point. Between Crazy and Riku, I'm suspicious of Riku. Crazy for some reason appears to be reheating some of my own arguments, which, yuck, but then again Riku's case on Crazy was pot v. kettle and contained some dodgy logic, which is what I have found most suspect thus far.
Joly said something in answer to me which I should fully process at some point, but I don't know that now is that point. I sort of wonder that you were surprised to be on wrecker's list, now that you mention that again, since it consisted of "People who fought with Sets (low security)" "People who were Rogues with Sets (Cluedo)" and "People who are now buddypals with Sets (Stuff since Cluedo if I'm not wrong. I just remember Sets insisting that "I totes know Joly and she's totes innocent" during Words and Weapons). If one were to make a ven diagram of Wrecker's list criteria, your name would be in the intersection. So why did it surprise you at all? It surprised me to be off the list - I was Sets' partner in DBF, which wrecker ran. You know your own history with him, so that's weird.
Firebolt's last post had many words in it but didn't really end up saying anything at all, so I'm watching there.
So, I've spent 30 minutes over an hour on this post and am so done I'm done.
I'm most suspicious of Riku, and I think it's odd that he's now suspicious of Leif and not Crazy, yet is still voting Crazy. I rather expected a response to the concerns raised about his case on Crazy rather than a massive backpedal.
With that I'm going to Vote: Riku
and trade up the cookie for a glass of wine. And if you're ever asked to be a bridesmaid, RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION]

Actually, Bunny, I questioned the absence of you on the list.
I always question why *I* am on a list, I think it's human nature to deny suspicion. Although I disagree with your points of headbutting, since that was when Sets first started playing, and we buried that hatchet long ago, whereas Taelac is constantly at odds with him, so I don't see our distant past affecting anything we do now, and of buddypal, as you put it, because I think there are others who fit that more than I do. Namely you, which was why I was questioning why you weren't on it. In my mind, the only thing that fit me nicely in the original explanation was that we had been rogues together.
May I propose that for future deadlines around that hour, we try to get consensus earlier than last minute? I'm not awake in the middle of the week at 2:30 AM as a general rule, since I have kids to get up at 6:30. I'd have been more than happy to talk about things, but this last minute rut we have fallen into isn't good for any of us. As spread out around the world as we are, there are always people missing, and in such small numbers, consensus will be difficult if we don't prepare ahead of time.

[OOC: The tights will come back on, but life is sort of exploding at the moment. I want fluffy nights, but I also want to answer/ask questions, and I don't have time for both. [OOC: I'm really tired, but full disclosure in case I die -- slightly less suspicious of Crazy, although not enough to remove my vote, and significantly more suspicious of Leif upon a reread] Last night I think I may have misread this. Are you significantly more suspicious of Leif than you are of crazy, or significantly more suspicious of Leif than you were earlier? I understood it to mean the former, but looking again I realize you may have meant the latter, in which case I retract my statement about massive backpedaling. I guess it would just be slight backpedaling. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ I thought Joly said she's *not* surprised to be on the list. She has twice said something to the effect of "I'm no longer surprised", which means that she was surprised to begin with. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Actually, Bunny, I questioned the absence of you on the list. I know, that's why your comment stood out to me. Here's the sequence of events I saw: Wrecker posts list.I ask for clarification.Wrecker gives her criteria. You ask why I'm not on the listWrecker replies to youWrecker actually clarifies the list over and over because lots of people ask about it. Then here you say: Having read our feline Wrecker's replies to questioning, I can see why she would place me on the list. I have a penchant for at least trying to be fair, even if I run afoul of the technical laws on occasion. (Such is the hazards of my life. I must go where and do what my uncle says, he is, after all, the boss, and well, I'd hate to be relegated to latrine duty after finally graduating.) Which stuck out to me at the time because 1)you asked for clarification about my absence, not your presence and 2)you sound like you were initially surprised to be on a list which I think you fit the criteria for. It would probably have passed without comment from me had you not a second time mentioned that Wrecker's clarification helped you understand why you were on the list. I wasn't trying to rehash the bad blood between you and Sets. I know you guys have moved on, and apologies if I hurt you in any way by bringing it up. But since that exchange happened in Low Security, which if I'm not mistaken was the last ROMS game wrecker played prior to this one, from Wrecker's perspective I thought it logical for her to think you met that particular requirement for being on her list. Work is going to be beastly today. SADFACE. On preview, can I just say that work is going to be a little bit better thanks to Leif?]

FWIW I read Riku's post the second way, Bunny, and when he made that post, Crazy had two votes, Leif had one and Riku had two himself. He couldn't really do anything to help save himself in terms of moving his vote, except to try and guess which of the other two might gain more votes in his absence.
Anyway, the fact he didn't try very hard to save himself at that point makes me think he's not a rogue. I'm not going to be comfortable voting him Tomorrow, I don't think. Subject to change based on new posts, of course.

My Lords and Ladies,
I apologise for disturbing you at this time of night. However, I feel that there are certain issues that we must settle before dawn, as we do not of the luxuries of time on our side. It is imperative that we make our suspicions known as soon as possible, so that the unknown enemy may not have a chance to ambush one of us before we have given our two pennies' worth to the ongoing conversation.
There are several points that my master wishes me to address. First and most pressing is that of our guests' appearance and participation at suppertime. Is the food and entertainment not to your liking? Please do inform us if so and we will do our best to make arrangements! As it currently is, we are having trouble coordinating the sitting arrangements as some guests have chosen to stay within their rooms instead of gracing us with their presence.
[That paragraph is ALL flavour text. My actual point is, lynch coordination. It's not 75%+1 this game, it's 50+1 for the same person. This calls for even MORE cooperation and coordination in the town than normal, to lynch. So I'm going to agree with Joly. Vote early. Make your intentions known. Talk about it.]
For myself, I would have some queries of Counsellor Crazy and (pun and alliteration both not intended but ah well), Master Bunny. I have taken the liberty of writing them below.
[Uh. I'm not even going to try and RP those because I think it would take me hours to even think up something that sounded remotely like what I wanted to ask =P
But anyway. Bunny, you said between crazy and riku, you were suspicious of Riku. That actually makes it sound like you definitely expect one of them to be a rogue. Am I interpreting this correctly? The wording made me twitch, but I'm really wary of arguments based on word choice rather than overall feel because I think a majority of people don't *actually* think very carefully about what they write.
Crazy: I'm going to skip the quote pyramid here and just write down everything in a single quote box. This is not clarifying, this is repeating. Never mind which game it was, you didn't even say *what* the behaviour was and *why* it worries you. It could be innocent behaviour for all we know. Please do explain. I'm curious about this behaviour.]
In the interests of practicing what I preach, I am no longer as sure that Riku is a rogue, but still willing to vote here. I think his presentation of suspicions is something he'd do regardless of status, so I disagree with Bunny that it makes him look more rougish (againd, am I interpreting this right?) - it basically kind of doesn't shift my opinion either way.
I am reconsidering my earlier statement that I think crazy is innocent. It's a bit ironic, because I am suspicious of Riku, but I'm also suspicious of Crazy's vote for Riku because it references an unknown behaviour in an unknown game, which is tantamount to, well, nothing. So it feels like crazy voted Riku for nothing and at a very convenient time, untl I see her presentation of this behaviour she was talking about. For those interested, this is one of the things I would've been able to look at if Riku had been lynched - had Riku been lynched and flipped innocent, I'd be more inclined to think crazy was innocent. If Riku had flipped rogue, I might well be more interested in examining crazy as a rogue.
I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that I think taelac is innocent. This is always ridiculous for me, because whenever I think taelac is a rogue she turns out to be innocent, and vice versa. So when I'm aware of that I start using reverse psychology on myself and being all 'I think she's a rogue so she must be innocent or am I thinking that because I know that my thoughts are screwed on her so she must actually be a rogue? ARGHHHHH'. But for now, I'm going to call innocent.
Not seen enough from Luv or DD or firebolt to tell.
Joly I'm undecided on. Already said I think Marinated and leif are innocent.
I am starting to lean a little towards suspecting bunny because it sounds like she knows she had to take a side in the riku vs crazy thing.
Ugh. A lynch would have been so useful there. *headdesk*

"I thought I was feeling much better after a lengthy rest," she said, "but I find that I am still confused by the events of late day. The votes on Gandalf-Riku seem to be founded on thin straws, and I am surprised by the run there. It will bear further examination."
"I think I understand what Joly-who-misplaces-her-companions is saying now, but I remain puzzled as to why she would have told Pecos Luvessy that she had made her determination on number of appearances when she is now saying that it was a brief consideration of what was said in them. I shall have to review what she said earlier again."
"Wrecker-in-Boots has likewise said some confusing things, but her recent exhortions seem like they would not benefit a rogue guest to make them."
"I hope that others who are suffering feel better soon. Otherwise, I will have to suspect something has been added to the wine. More review is needed, I think, though I hope to return before sunrise, should anything else occur to me."

[My problem now is that my suspicions are not particularly strong.
I wonder about Marinated, though it's largely based on her interest in me. Specifically initially saying I was pushing for Ducky, and then later Marinated voted for me saying, "Yep, I know I haven't given reasons" but that I seem off. That's a distinct change. It looks a little retaliatory, but thinking about it, I think it justifies moving her up the list. Forgetting reasons for suspicion is something we've seen in rogues before.
There's some mild suspicion remaining on Ducky and Wrecker. A niggle about Riku pertaining to his non-comment on the vote on him yesterDay.
That's probably where I'm sitting today, depending on what happens. I'm curious about Crazy, but I still tend to think Luv's comment yesterday evening was pretty right on. I think that covers my thoughts at this time.]

For crying out loud Taelac. Since when did you get so picky about exact phrasing. I sure hope that it's character driven, because it's obnoxious.
Here, for you, is my EXACT thought process. I didn't put it in there, because I figured I play with smart people, they can see my intent.
Oh, they banned Sets. Hmm. Well, he didn't say much, what, one post. Better check that. Yep one post. One line. Luv had two posts. Riku had one. Still, quiet player, first round, who wants a dot connected already. Possibly lack of info ban.
Seriously, you could be looking for *real* clues, yet you're nitpicking over my attempt to show you that you are misreading?
Bunny, no hurt feelings, I just don't think about it as recent history. Thank you for explaining your reasoning, I see where you are coming from now. The only reason I even mentioned it a second time is that Tae/Talia (I think) seems to not have a clue what exactly it is I am saying, and is putting out in the ether what she wants it to mean, whether correct or not, she doesn't care.
The deliberate obfuscation and nitpicking unimportant things on the part of Tae is really raising alarm bells.
I still have that gut feel on Crazy, but I don't think I'll vote her toMorrow, just because at this point, I'd like to know WHY the gut feel is there, for my own sake.
I think Wrecker is most likely innocent. Possibly Luv, but I'm wavering more on her. Possibly Bunny. Most others I'm neutral on at the moment.
Sorry this whole post is OOC. I'm a bit unfun, but I'm pressed for time, and stressed. More flavor next time, promise. Better hints maybe, but I'm enjoying myself.

[OOC: The following is all going to be out of character. The wedding I'm in is this Saturday, and from now until Sunday I am not going to be around. Wanted to answer this before poofing though: Bunny, you said between crazy and riku, you were suspicious of Riku. That actually makes it sound like you definitely expect one of them to be a rogue. Am I interpreting this correctly? If you're asking whether I suspect Riku of being a rogue, yes, that's why I voted him. If you're asking whether I think it HAS to be either Riku or Crazy, no, that's not what I was saying. Here is the post, for context. I was specifically looking at the vote count and trying to organize my thoughts regarding each of the players with votes. In the paragraph in question, I discussed how I felt about you and Leif in particular because you each had a vote a piece. That left me with Crazy and Riku, who each had 2 votes at the time. Of the two, while I did feel that Crazy seemed to be parroting some arguments, I was actually suspicious of Riku, so that's where my vote was going. The "Between" part was a reflection of "Between these two people who are tied with two votes, I'm suspicious of one and not particularly suspicious of the other, so I'll vote the one I'm suspicious of". I think his presentation of suspicions is something he'd do regardless of status, so I disagree with Bunny that it makes him look more rougish (againd, am I interpreting this right?) - it basically kind of doesn't shift my opinion either way. To clarify, I don't find the fact that riku presented his suspicions off. I felt like the case he made against crazy was not only somewhat hypocritical (in that he accused Crazy of prompting a discussion but not contributing to it, which he had done) but inaccurate (the part about 'trying to pass a statement off as original' specifically) and that is not what I would expect from my experience of innocent Riku. That's the strongest feeling I have right now. This post from Firebolt seems to say nothing with a lot of words, so I have a niggle in that direction as well. Joly, I think our brains just work differently. I'm hoping that once the wedding is over I can concentrate better. Sorry for flakiness, it's unavoidable at the moment.]
